KENNY PUTNAM BRINGS TWO GREAT TALENTS TO THE FOUR ACES CASINO FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

DEADWOOD – Fiddle man Kenny Putnam introduces two extraordinary talents, Shadric Smith and Al Spreizer, to the Four Aces stage Friday May 23rd and Saturday the 24th live from 6 pm to 10 pm both nights. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served from 6 pm until 8 pm both nights.

Iowa singer/songwriter, Shadric Smith brings new and old tunes to the show in addition to his skills on guitar, mandolin and fiddle. He is a successful songwriter with a long discography of recordings and credits. Al Spreizer is one of the finest piano players in the region with a reservoir of music in his head. Expect to hear fiddle tunes, classic Country, Tin Pan Alley tunes, Jazz, Swing and even twin fiddle Bob Wills numbers. These performances will be exciting and entertaining for the players and the crowd.

Well-known fiddler Kenny Putnam, a two-time South Dakota Fiddle Champ, began touring and recording with The Red Willow Band in 1975. He was invited by the Smithsonian Institution in 1975 and 1976 to participate in The Festival of American Folk life, demonstrating violin-making and playing. Putnam toured and recorded with Roy Clark for over seven years appearing on The Grand Ol' Opry, The Tonight Show, Hee Haw regularly and many other programs. He has performed on stages worldwide, including the JFK Center for the Performing Arts, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and the Oktober Hall in Leningrad.

Putnam and Smith first met in Minneapolis more than 30 years ago on a Smith recording session that included fiddle legend Vasser Clements.
